Amy Hodge Fenenga, PA-C grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise with a minor in Chemistry at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. During college and prior to her studies as a Physician Assistant, Amy worked as a medical assistant for a Dermatologist in Salem, Virginia. This is when she found a special interest in the field of Dermatology. In 2001, Amy received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. She then worked in an emergency room in Virginia Beach for a year before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina and then to Atlanta, Georgia to practice Dermatology. Amy has practiced general Dermatology for the past 18 years. Amy is licensed by the Georgia and Florida Composite Board of Medical Examiners and maintains certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Florida Dermatology Physician Assistants organization.
